Our beloved Parama Guruji, Paramahamsa Yoganandaji, revered as the father of Yoga in the west, was born on 5th January, 1893. In 1920, he travelled to America to spread the message of Kriya Yoga and dedicated his life to inspire, teach, and guide millions of seekers on the path of truth. His classic masterpiece “Autobiography of Yogi” has been translated to 45 languages and inspires more people today than ever.

This year marks his 125th birth anniversary year. To honor the great master of ancient Kriya Yoga lineage we are celebrating his life and teachings worldwide over the course of a year starting from January 5, 2017 and concluding on his 125th birthday on January 5, 2018. As part of the global celebration, the ashram in Joliet would also be celebrating this event on Saturday, May 13th, 2017.
